Nelly’s POV.

The loud bang on my door joltedawake, my heart racing in my chest. | sat up in bed, my muscles stiff and

aching. | stretched, my bones creaking with the effort. It was dark outside, the only light coming from the moon,

casting long shadows across the

room.

| heard the bang again, more insistent this time. | got out of bed, wrapping my robe around me, and made my

way to the door.

“Who's there?” | called out, my voice trembling slightly.

There was no response, but the banging continued.

| stood up, my limbs feeling heavy and lethargic. | dragged my feet across the room to the door, opening it

slowly. Aisha stood there, her face ashen and her eyes wide with. fear.

“What happened?” | asked, dread creeping up my spine.

“We've just been attacked,” she said, her voice shaking.

“How bad is it?” | asked, my voice sounding far away.

wailing children filled the hall, the terror in their voices. piercing my heart. We hurried down the hall, Aisha’s

hand trembling in mine.

We reached the basement, the darkness broken only by the flickering light of the fire. The children huddled

together, their eyes wide with fear. | felt my terror rising within. me, but I forced myself to remain calm.

The air was suddenly filled with a low, guttural growl, the sound reverberating through the hall. | recognized it

instantly as Kex, and my heart sank. Something terrible must be happening outside. | wanted to go to him, to

help in any way | could, but Kex had toldto stay with the children and women.

war bells. My heart pounded in my chest, my thoughts racing. | didn’t know what was happening, but | knew it

was something terrible.

below, searching for Kex.

The sight beforewas like something out of a nightmare. Bodies littered the ground, blood seeping into the

grass. Men fought with swords and axes, screaming and shouting. Sin their wolf form, growling.

The smell of death and decay hung heavy in the air. | searched for Kex, my heart pounding in my chest.

And there he was, locked in battle with one of the enemy warriors. | could see that we were losing the fight, and

my heart sank. | knew | had to do something, so | ran onto the battlefield, ignoring Kex’s shouts behind me.

My body surged with power, and | felt my bones shifting, my skin tearing as | changed into my wolf form.

| let out a blood-curdling howl, and | saw Kex’s eyes widen in shock. | charged at the nearest enemy warrior, my

teeth bared and my claws out.

| pounced on the nearest enemy warrior, my teeth sinking into his flesh. He screamed, his arms flailing as he

tried to fightoff. | would not be deterred, my instincts taking over. | tore into him, my claws raking across his

chest. | felt my bloodlust rising, and | turned to the next warrior, my body moving on instinct.

| ripped and slashed, my teeth and claws a blur of movement. The warriors began to retreat, fear in their eyes. |

could smell their fear, and it only mademore determined to fight.

Chapter 73

My eyes locked on the man who I suspected to be the Gamma, the second in command of the rogue pack. He

stood near the Rogue King, his body coiled and ready to strike. | let out a low growl, my body tensed and ready

to attack.

The two of us began to circle each other, our eyes never leaving the other. We were like two predators, sizing

each other up, waiting for the moment to strike. The tension was thick, the air charged with energy. | could feel

the sweat beading on my brow, my body. aching with anticipation.

He lunged at me, his claws outstretched. | ducked under his grasp, but he was quick, swiping atagain. |

managed to dodge him once more, but he was persistent, determined to bringdown.

He took a running leap, and | braced myself for impact. | felt his weight hit me, knockingto the ground. |

struggled to push him off me, but he was too strong. | could feel his hot breath on my neck, his claws pressing

into my flesh. | closed my eyes, waiting for the final blow.

But just as he was about to deal the final blow, | heard a familiar voice shouting, “No!” It was Harry, and he had

cto my aid. He pushed the Gamma off me, and the two of them began to circle each other. He changed into

his wolf form.

Harry was the first to strike, his claws slashing across the Gamma'’s chest. The Gamma howled in pain, but he

was not defeated yet.

He lunged at Harry, but Harry was too quick for him. He dodged the attack, and the other wolves joined the fray.

They were outnumbered, but they were determined to fight to the end.

I sank my teeth into one of the wolves, and he let out a howl of pain. The sound of it filled the air, and it seemed

to echo through the woods. | was lost in a frenzy, my vision blurred by bloodlust. | attacked one wolf after

another, each of them fighting desperately to stay alive.

They began to retreat, their tails between their legs, and | chased after them, determined to make them pay for

what they had done.

But then, | heard a shout from the other side of the clearing. | turned, and | saw Kex and the Rogue King engaged

in a fierce battle.

As | charged towards Kex and the Rogue King, | felt a sharp pain in my chest. | let out a yelp, my vision blurring. |

looked down, and | saw an arrow protruding from my chest.
